From Salvi Lighting Barcelona we have had the privilege of participating in the prestigious 50th National Lighting Symposium, organized by the Spanish Lighting Committee (CEI). This event, consolidated as a reference in the lighting sector, was held in the imposing setting of the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia, bringing together leading professionals and companies in the sector.
The CEI Symposium has become an epicenter of discussion on the most relevant topics in the sector, offering a space where companies not only exhibit their projects, but also debate and analyze current trends, share good and bad practices, offer advice and discuss regulations. This forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences sets the guidelines for the future of lighting.
During the symposium, part of the Salvi Lighting Barcelona team contributed with two keynote presentations, focused on issues of great relevance for the future of public lighting and urban infrastructure. On the one hand, we highlighted the importance of the development of Smart cities in a present of great technological advances, on the other hand we have stressed the need for greater rigor in many of the public lighting installations.
The first presentation, in the form of a round table discussion on Smart Citieswas a crucial space to discuss the future of smart cities. Javier Garcia, our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), represented Salvi Lighting in this discussion, underlining the importance of integrating different technologies and of collecting and managing data with specific objectives. "Sharing this debate with industry leaders is fundamental at a time when we must lay the foundations for the development of more efficient, sustainable and interconnected cities," Javier stated. The roundtable allowed for the exchange of ideas and innovative solutions, marking an important step towards the integration of advanced technologies in the urban environment.
The second lecture, presented by Teresa Núñez Godia, focused on the key aspects for an efficient installation in tunnel lighting projects. During her presentation, Teresa highlighted the best practices and technical considerations essential to ensure optimal and sustainable lighting in tunnels, a critical infrastructure for transportation safety and efficiency. The presentation covered everything from choosing the right luminaires to the particularities of these projects depending on the type of tunnel and its location, providing a complete guide for professionals in the sector.
Salvi Lighting Barcelona's participation in the 50th National Lighting Symposium reaffirms our commitment to innovation and sustainability in the lighting sector. We continue to work to develop solutions that not only improve energy efficiency, but also contribute to the creation of safer and more livable urban environments.
