The KH-7 Epsilon Team will become 'The Dream Truck' in Saudi Arabia.
As every year, during the first weeks of January, one of the toughest and wildest races in the world of motor racing takes place, where mental strength is the key to overcoming it: the Dakar. This edition of the legendary rally is being held in Saudi Arabia for the first time in its 42 editions.
From Salvi lighting, we are very happy to be able to support the KH-7 Epsilon Team with our sponsorship. But not only because Saudi Arabia is one of our strongest markets, but also because we find the new initiative of the Epsilon Team very commendable.
This year, Jose Luis Criado, Jordi Juvateny and Xavier Domenech return to the Dakar stronger than ever. What is the formula for this strength? The answer lies in the team's initiative this year. To be the connecting link between two non-profit organisations that help people with disabilities. For more than three decades, Jose Luis Criado has been a trustee of one of the non-profit organisations that cares for people with intellectual disabilities in Catalonia, with the aim of promoting their welfare and that of their families, the FVO (Fundació Privada Vallés Oriental). This is one of the reasons why Equipo Epsilon has decided to be the communication link between two similar entities from different cultures, but also because they firmly believe that, although we have different cultures, we are all the same and we can learn from each other. This is one of the main reasons why Salvi lighting decided to support the KH7 Epsilon Team.
The 'Truck of Dreams' will transport the handicrafts during the Dakar 2020 across Saudi Arabia until the rest stage on 11 January. On that day, all the material will be handed over to the children of the Disabled Children's Association, based in Riyadh.
