The Tenes River project aims to restore and conserve the river and its surroundings, while integrating the river space into a complex dedicated to sport and leisure in an environmentally friendly manner.

The City Council of Parets has launched a participatory process for the ecological, landscape and social recovery of the Tenes River, in which three options were proposed to citizens:

The first option is an environment for social use and ecological restoration. This proposal conceives the River Park as a space for meeting, leisure and strolling. The right bank of the river is intended to connect with the Ensanche, the Old Town and the sports area, while the left bank would preferably be dedicated to preserving and restoring biodiversity. Access for people and pets would be mainly through the right bank and the River Park.

The second proposal is based on an urban and urbanized park along the river. This is the option that would build structures for various uses in the River Park and allow unlimited access for people and pets.

Finally, it is proposed to preserve an entire natural area. It would be a habitat exclusively reserved for the flora and fauna of the area, where access for people and pets would be strictly limited to the river walk.

To be part of this environmental recovery project, Circus luminaires with a filter have been incorporated. This special filter helps to minimize the impact of lighting on biodiversity by reducing the emission of artificial light that can interfere with the natural rhythms of living beings and affect nocturnal fauna. This initiative seeks to promote a river environment that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also favorable for the preservation and development of biological diversity, providing an appropriate balance between lighting and respect for the ecosystem.
