Salvi has always offered its customers led luminaires efficient, high-performance optical designs with a wide selection of optical distributions to achieve quality and efficient lighting in all projects.
During the last 4 years, our R&D has concentrated on the development of optics for LED luminaires, especially photometry for public lighting. We have achieved excellent luminance results in terms of luminance calculation, with optical efficiencies of over 95%.
Within the street lighting segment with LED luminaires there are two different lens families: LT family and LM family. The LT photometry family corresponds to photometric distributions suitable for urban lighting. The LM family offers a wide range of lighting solutions for street lighting, with a lumen package of around 6,000 lm. This latter family corresponds to products with higher lm/W performance requirements and a lumen package considerably higher than that for urban lighting, up to 21,000 lm.
During 2014, we have been working on improving optics for industrial and sports lighting, with LED luminaires, and we will soon be providing information on these new sectors in which Salvi will be introduced in 2015.
