Paseo del Canal has become a more sustainable and accessible space thanks to the modernization works that have been carried out in the Centre neighborhood. With the aim of reinforcing the criteria of sustainability, accessibility and urban planning with a gender perspective, the pedestrian area from Creu d'en Muntaner street to the Sant Pancraç Civic Center has been completely renovated.

The intervention included the replacement of the previous lighting with a more efficient and sustainable lighting system. Instead of streetlights with a single point of light, the FLIT double-height luminaire, which features energy-efficient LED technology, has been chosen. This luminaire provides uniform, high-quality illumination throughout the promenade, while at the same time reducing energy consumption and lowering CO2 emissions. In addition, the FLIT M is a luminaire with a modern and elegant design that complements the renewed aesthetics of the Canal Promenade.

The work has not affected the traffic lane, which has ensured traffic safety. With these urban interventions, the Canal Promenade has become a safer, more sustainable and accessible public space for the entire community.
